Ethiopia to give 250,000 laptops to school teachers
Ethipoia one of the third world countries is rolling out a cool 250,000 laptops to its schoolteachers, the computers will all be running Azure a platform by Microsoft
The laptops will help improve education around the whole of Ethiopia, and will be using the cloud computing network from Microsoft. The software on the laptop will be managed by a company in the US remotely.
Cloud computing has been built up as the next big thing in the computing world. It allows people to do computing without much hardware. The laptops will allow teachers in Ethiopia to keep track of students records and transfer data. All this without having expensive hardware, what a great idea!
