Advancing Technology = Less Privacy
We live in a world where as you walk around a city centre there is always at least one camera on you. I cant help but think that as technology is advancing, the less privacy we have… and I am not being paid to be an actor in front on the camera.
Today I have been made aware that anyone with an iPhone with the iOS 4 software update from last year is basically being tracked. Apparently the iPhone is pinpointing exactly where we go using co-ordinates and best of all, its doing it secretly and not that securely. The news has sparked outrage into privacy issues as its blown the door wide open as to the information we are sharing without knowledge and concent. iPhone have not yet responded but this isnt the sort of thing you can just brush under the carpet.
Some would argue you should have nothing to hide but we really are becoming the Big Brother state. My advice is ditch your iPhone and dig out an old Nokia.
